More From Seed of Life:
Bringing fresh produce to impoverished communities through Project MOTR [Market On The Roll]
People who need healthy foods most tend to be those with the fewest means of attaining it, either by lack of transportation, or unavailability at local stores. With our mobile grocery store, we provide flexible shopping times to specific communities when and where food is needed most.
The Mobile Market provides seasonal vegetables, fruits, dairies, cheeses, breads and meats that meet dietary needs for optimal healthy lives, all at or below store prices. Learn more about Project MOTR.
Distributing food to those in need in Frederick county
Food drops are part of our distribution program to families in need by setting up a location and time to give food to communities in need, free of charge. In partnership with the Maryland Food Bank and local volunteers, we distribute thousands of pounds of food every month to impoverished communities.
Helping children prepare for a healthy future
Learn through doing! With the My Plate gardens, kids learn about healthy food and its benefits by creating their own in-school gardens, reaping the rewards of their hard work throughout the school year, and connecting the food on their plates to what grows in the dirt outside.
