Erik Holt
Erik Holt grew up in Annapolis, Maryland and had a passion for basketball and lacrosse. When it came time for college, Erik found himself at a crossroads, deciding between schools and ultimately found himself at The Naval Academy and following, Penn State. At Penn State he played football and lacrosse, graduated and moved to Frederick with his wife.
Erik began coaching Lacrosse and Football at Urbana High School from 2006-2009. He decided to apply for Team USA lacrosse and as luck and talent would have it, he gained a position and began playing professional lacrosse. Following his endeavor, he began coaching at Mount St. Mary’s. It was then that Lionheart Lacrosse began.
Erik was asked to coach children on lacrosse’s off season, starting with camps and it grew enormously. Erik fulfilled a need within the community to coach children and hone in on their skills, building them to be the best lacrosse players they can be. Lionheart Lacrosse is more than just playing the game, it is shaping and leading children for a promising tomorrow.
More From Lionheart Lacrosse:

Lionheart Lacrosse
Lionheart Lacrosse is an organization that offers a wide range of lacrosse training, including boys and girls travel teams, summer and team camps, clinics, individual lessons, summer tournaments and lacrosse apparel. Our organization is based in Maryland, but includes branches in the Rochester, Virginia Beach, Philadelphia & Minnesota regions. Our primary focus is to promote the game of lacrosse in a way that allows kids of all ages to grow as players and individuals while learning to love the game of lacrosse. We want to work with kids and parents alike to ensure that each player is getting the most out of their time with our coaches.
Philosophy:
LIONHEART LACROSSE: Growing great student-athletes & resilient lacrosse players, win or lose, succeed or fail, we know how to enjoy success and how to face adversity. We rise and rise again, picking ourselves and our brothers and sisters up, staying in the game, and prevailing with the heart of a lion. In the end, we win on and off the field.
The Lionheart philosophy is one like no other lacrosse organization today. We do not simply offer training opportunities for lacrosse players, we offer coaching from former Division 1 coaches and players along with current MLL players. We offer leadership training from former Marines so that your kids develop not only as lacrosse players but individuals as well. Lionheart focuses on the fun of the game for players and parents.
We believe that all lacrosse players should be given the opportunity to be kids. They are not college athletes, they are not even high school athletes. They need an opportunity to learn and grow as athletes and lacrosse players. The sport should be fun and not a job! Our program is the first program designed from start to finish with child development in mind as a priority. At this age it is about development! It is about building players and building confidence! We are excited to share our philosophy with everyone who wants the opportunity to be apart of the Lionheart family.
Through Lionheart your kids will learn every aspect of the game, grow as players and people, and love the game of lacrosse more every day!
