Dana Young
Dana is an incredible Entrepreneur who combines her 10 years of experience working in Manhattan with private label jewelers and her love for nature and animals to bring her own flair to the jewelry she makes.
Dana started to tire of the ‘rat-race’ of corporate America and one day she and a co-worker were talking when the co-worker asked, “Do you ever think of starting your own Jewelry brand?” Little did the co-worker know that Dana had these thoughts for many months and was considering going out on her own…
But what happened next forced Dana to take the leap.
The company was making changes and a few hours later Dana was laid off. This forced her to follow her passion to her own brand.
Dana was exciting about this next phase of her life and since her partner was getting assigned to a position in Gettysburg they did some ‘scouting’ and fell in LOVE with Frederick.
Thus, Dana Young Jewelry was born.

From Dana Young Jewelry’s website:
Dana creates animal and nature inspired jewelry for those who live in the city and dream of the forest.
Incorporating elements of whimsy and trend, this jewelry will bring a smile to your face and a subtle punch to your outfit. Mix that with a deep love for environment and animals and you have Dana Young Jewelry.

Dana Young Jewelry
Dana’s jewelry is created using traditional hand crafting techniques an local casting. All production is done on-shore, both in house and in cooperation with small, family-owned businesses.
For every collection Dana selects an animal welfare or environmental organization, and a percentage of the profits from each piece of jewelry you buy goes to support their conservation work. Sales from past collections have contributed to the replanting of destroyed forests habitats, the preventation of whale hunting in the Antarctic, and the rehabilitation of injured owls in Alaska.
