Episode 002 of Frederick Advice Givers features the incredible photographer Annie Walters of Sendsible Solutions. Annie opens up about her journey from breaking her first camera in middle school to shooting her daughter, Olivia, and now doing photography full-time. Specializing in real estate photography and being able to tell a Home’s Story visually.
Being born in Wisconsin and raised in the Midwest until the age of 10 when her father took a job in Maryland and they relocated to Middletown. Annie, her fiance Joe and daughter Olivia still live in Middletown actually just a mile from where Anne grew up. Annie’s about to start the next phase of motherhood as Olivia is about to be a teenager.
Annie explains the process of photographing homes and how she works each room in a methodical method taking photos from each corner of the room then spending hours editing the photographs so that when the agent receives the photos they POP. Speaking of making a home POP, Annie explains the difference of photographing a home that has been staged vs a non-staged home and the advantages – visually -of staging a home. On average Annie spends 4 to 6 hours on each home making sure the the photos depict the home as natural and appealing as possible.
When agents receive the 30 best pictures from Annie, pared down from the 200-300 photos taken during the shoot they know that Annie has presented the home, their listing in the best light.
Annie opens up about how she transitioned from a Real Estate Agent taking photos of her own listings to a full-time real estate photographer who is booked 2-3 weeks out for her shoots.
